Built in just 14 months during the Great Depression, The Empire State Building was completed in 1931 and was the first building in the world to contain over 100 floors. The Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex is a 28-acre waterfront sports village located between 17th and 23rd Streets along Manhattan’s Hudson River. Opened in 1995, four historic piers were transformed into a major center for public recreation and waterfront access. With a variety of sports and entertainment venues, a fun mix of color palettes and patterns of the MarchoNYC Westside collection comes to mind. UPTOWN: Conde Nast Building
This modern skyscraper in Times Square was completed in 2000. The 809-foot, 48-story building is the 12th-tallest building in New York City. The building represents one of the most important examples of green design in skyscrapers in the United States. One of the major office space tenants is the magazine publishing company Conde Nast. Filled with chic, savvy magazine editors, this building relates to the design and aesthetic of the MarchoNYC Uptown collection and the audience it attracts. One World Trade Center, also known as theFreedom Tower, is the 4th-tallest skyscraper in the world and the tallest building in the United States. This clean-cut rectangle frame blends traditional styling and classic lines with modified components. The custom laminated, handmade acetate frame is complemented by a laminated, striped inlay that starts at the front of the end-piece and seamlessly transitions to the temple.
