REM Eyewear is pleased to announce the appointment of Sherrie Rogerson as Senior Executive of Corporate Accounts, a central role in REM’s successful expansion.
Nurturing the company’s valuable market-share, as well as aggressively pursuing new accounts, Rogerson will carry on the personal dedication that partners have come to expect from REM. Rogerson is uniquely talented to bring REM’s clients a new level of service and uncompromising attention to detail, drawn from her tremendous merchandising background where she’s been an insider and a leader.
Sherrie Rogerson’s most recent position was with Doctors Vision Center – a 52 store OD/MD group in North Carolina and Virginia, where she served for 21 years, most recently as Vice President of Retail Operations/Franchise Services. An extensive knowledge of effective price setting, creating motivating promotions, and precise product positioning gained from her specialized experience in the retail side, allows her to empathize with her customer’s personalized needs. Where retailers may find hard work and difficulties, she finds opportunities and solutions, and knows intimately what it’s like to be on the other side of the table. From behind the scenes at franchising operations, to the minutia of tracking sales and product-turnover, Rogerson promises to be a fully invested partner to all of REM’s key accounts in creating measurable success.
Sherrie Rogerson adds, “I am excited to be a part of the REM family and look forward to working with this exceptional team. I am confident that my broad experience in this industry will allow me to bring expansion to their account base and support the continued growth of the company.”
Steve Horowitz, REM’s President, comments on Rogerson’s new appointment saying, “This is an amazingly important position at REM and it was very difficult to fill. After an exhaustive search we felt that Sherrie’s career as a retail chain executive coupled with her embracing personality were the perfect skill set to ensure REM’s continued success in this channel. We feel very fortunate to have Sherrie on our team.”
Rogerson is a past president of the Optical Women’s Association and has served on the OWA board for the past six years and currently chairs the Professional Development Committee. In 2003, she was awarded international recognition by Jobson Publishing as the Most Influential Woman in Optical Industry, and holds a BS degree in Science Education from North Carolina State University.
