REM Eyewear announces the launch of Converse Jack Purcell Eyewear, a new collection that will expand Converse Eyewear’s product range to include more sophisticated products with a vintage inspiration for optical and sunglasses. The new Converse Jack Purcell Eyewear collection consists of 14 styles – 8 optical frames, and 6 sunglasses. REM Eyewear will launch global distribution of Converse Jack Purcell eyewear beginning January 2014.
“We have invested more than two years of product development to create eyewear that aesthetically embodies the brand’s core attributes, including the Signature Jack Purcell smirk. Each frame is handmade acetate with five to seven barrel hinges. The Jack Purcell logo is featured on the inside of the temples and laser engraved on the upper right sunglass lens. The inside of the right temple showcases the Jack Purcell license plate Each end piece holds a signature Jack Purcell wave pattern. The outside of the temple tips holds Jack Purcell’s ‘smile’ in a metal inlay.
“Designing the Converse Jack Purcell eyewear was a natural process; we took direct inspiration from the brand’s DNA. We used iconic elements such as the smile, the wavy graphic pattern, vintage color palettes, and classic frame shapes to create a collection that extends Jack Purcell as a lifestyle brand,” says REM Eyewear Creative Director, Nicolas Roseillier.
