Back by popular demand, Safilo USA is pleased to announce its’ first new Marc by Marc Jacobs ophthalmic offerings since July 2008. The new collection offers 11 vintage inspired, cutting edge styles that set the standard for what’s happening in street fashion. The collection offers eight women’s styles and three unisex styles.
These new Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear offerings complement the playful style of the ever-popular clothing and accessories line of the same name, bringing the same sophisticated urban attitude to the brows of fashion-savvy women and men everywhere. The urban inspired designs offer distinctive details in the temples and frames with shapes that are reminiscent of popular styles from the Fifties, Seventies and Eighties. Fun and flirty logo treatments often seen on the brand’s shoes and handbags grace the eyewear as well.
The collection features a predominance of rectangular eye shapes in traditional, soft and shallow silhouettes while also offering a selection of modified ovals and cat-eyes. There are also two semi-rimless styles. Beautiful color combinations fill the line, including violet plum, eggplant crystal, brown teal, rose brown, palladium white blue, dark ruthenium tea, havana violet, burgundy red, sand brown and black white black.
Marketing will include consumer advertising, a new 12-place rotator display and three pre-packed image boxes in a variety of sizes and an informational brochure/catalog.
