The Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner in Calvin Klein
With nine Oscar nominations, The Hurt Locker goes head to head with James Cameron’s Avatar this award season. In addition to the coveted Best Motion Picture of the Year, the Academy also recognizes actor Jeremy Renner, as SFC William James with Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.

An independent film that rose to critical acclaim at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals follows three U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team members through their tour in Iraq. The American war thriller is based on the real life accounts of Mark Boal, a freelance journalist who was embedded with an American Bomb Squad in the war in Iraq.
