Norwalk, CT (July 7, 2009) – International Vision Expo West is pleased to announce that The Suites, which present couture and designer eyewear at the show, will move to The Palazzo Las Vegas, a sister property to The Venetian Las Vegas, that was opened in December 2007. The move to The Palazzo affords eye care professionals with an upscale, yet, efficient show experience as they can take advantage of its close proximity to the show floor and continuing educational sessions.
“We believe the move to The Palazzo is a very positive step for our business,” said Sheila Vance, CEO and designer for Sama Eyewear. “It is also a good move for eye care professionals who are looking to preview a wider variety of inventory in today’s economic times, yet still enjoy a relaxing atmosphere in which to do so.”
The Palazzo is part of a recent expansion of The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino. Sister to The Venetian, The Palazzo offers European sophistication and taste with shopping, fine dining and the famous Canyon Ranch Spa. While its location is well-marked on the property, participating companies and eye care professionals will need to bear right at the Blue Man Group Theater just before entering The Venetian property from the Sands Expo and Convention Center. There will be signage in place to direct attendees to The Suites. Concierge service will also be available at the base of the elevators to help attendees locate specific exhibitors on The Suites floors.
The Suites participating exhibitors feel positive about the new location. “With this move to The Palazzo, International Vision Expo continues to be a leader in presenting eyewear fashion!” said Robert Marc, founder and designer of Robert Marc.
Troy Schmidt, president of Optical Shop International (OSI) added, “OSI is pleased to show its continued support to the International Vision Expo West format. The move to The Palazzo should provide a fresh update for The Suites without sacrificing the convenience factor and luxury environment they are known for. Ultimately, we choose a luxury setting to show our product not only because it is befitting of our stable of brands, it also provides our customers, who are in the trenches day in day out bringing our products to market, some well deserved pampering.”
“We have participated in The Suites since its inception and are looking forward to the change in venue,” said Ray Khalil, president of Lafont Co. “Not only will we have a sophisticated environment in which to show our products, but the convenience of the new location will attract additional attendees to visit us in The Suites.”
Valerie Scott, vice president of strategic accounts at Reed Exhibitions, added, “The great thing about The Suites and International Vision Expo West alike is that attendees can see the same brands that they would see at other international events. In addition, Las Vegas offers excellent business options by day and numerous entertaining options by night. With its outstanding fine dining, spas and resorts and exceptional entertainment options, Las Vegas is one of the most exciting cities and destinations in the world.”
She continued, “International Vision Expo West is an all inclusive ‘one-stop-shop.’ As today’s marketplace dictates, many people are reviewing and shifting their inventory and they need to stop and think how to best spend their time, energy and money. International Vision Expo West is the place where eye care professionals can get their continuing education credits, see the latest trends, collections and new products and get show specials – all under one roof. There is no need to spend additional time and money going to any other market preview, as our attendees can make all their purchasing decisions right here at International Vision Expo West.”
Advance reservations are recommended for private showings of the latest fashion forward designs in The Suites. Reservations can be made directly with participating exhibitors. For more information about International Vision Expo West or to register, please visit www.visionexpowest.com.
